We get it

Moving abroad is overwhelming enough. Your pet shouldn't be the part that keeps you up at night.

Most families come to us with the same three worries. Here's the honest answer to each.

“Will my pet be safe in the cargo hold?”

Pets travel in a temperature-controlled, pressurised part of the hold built for live animals — separate from luggage. We book a breed- and route-appropriate crate, a trained handler stays with your pet right through check-in, and a trusted partner receives them on landing.

“The paperwork is a maze — microchip, vaccines, titer test, permits, NOC.”

We map every requirement for your exact destination and run the sequence so nothing expires or gets missed — including the rabies titer test and the AQCS export NOC.

“What if I get the timing wrong and they're stuck?”

We work backwards from your travel date. For titer-test countries that can mean starting months ahead — we tell you exactly when on day one, and keep you updated the whole way (often with a photo).

The essentials

What your pet needs to leave India

India is treated as a high-rabies-risk origin, so most rabies-free and rabies-controlled countries ask for a little more — including a rabies antibody (titer) test. Here's the chain we manage for you. Exact requirements depend on your destination.

1

ISO microchip

A 15-digit ISO microchip — fitted before the rabies shot, or the vaccination may not count.

2

Rabies & core vaccinations

A valid rabies vaccination (generally 30 days to one year before travel), plus core vaccines on record.

3

Rabies titer test

Required for most destinations from India — the EU, UK, Australia, UAE, Japan and more. A few routes don't need it; we confirm yours.

4

Destination import permit

Many countries need an import permit approved before your pet travels. We apply and track it.

5

Government vet health certificate

Issued by a registered vet, usually within about 10 days of travel, on your destination's form.

6

AQCS export NOC

The export No-Objection Certificate from the Animal Quarantine officer at your departure airport.

Every country is a little different. See the exact rules for your route: India → USA · Canada · UK · Australia · UAE — or browse all destinations.

Plan early

When should you start?

The honest answer depends on where you're headed — mostly because of the titer test and arrival rules. As a guide:

Start early
~6 months+

Australia, New Zealand, Japan. Long titer waiting periods and, for Australia, arrival quarantine — the earliest planning pays off most here.

Give it room
~4–6 months

UK, EU & other rabies-free routes. A waiting period applies after the titer test, so the calendar needs a head start.

Quicker, still plan
~2 months

UAE and routes with no post-titer wait. The titer is still required, but you can travel once results are in — so the timeline is shorter.

Not sure which applies to you? Tell us your route and we'll give you the exact start date for your destination.

Airline partners

We fly with the world's major pet-carrying airlines

We're not tied to one airline — we book the carrier that's right for your pet's breed, size and route, and the best season to fly. On some routes, small pets can even travel in the cabin rather than the hold (Etihad to Abu Dhabi, for example).

“Cooper landed in SFO and he's doing absolutely fine. I didn't sleep all night picturing him in cargo for that many hours — but the moment I saw him at the terminal wagging his tail, I almost teared up. Thank you for handling all the US paperwork and that CDC form.”

“Oreo reached London and, after the checks at the Heathrow animal reception centre, was home the same evening. The blood test and three-month wait had me on edge for months, and I kept calling with the same doubts — not once did you make me feel like I was troubling you. You treated her like your own.”

“Toffee is out of quarantine and finally home with us in Melbourne. I won't lie — the last six months felt never-ending, with the blood tests, permits and waiting, and at one point I thought we'd never pull it off. You held our hand through every step. Picking her up from the Mickleham facility, she completely lost it seeing us.”

Moving abroad with a pet: your questions

Is the cargo hold safe for my pet?

Yes. Pets fly in a temperature-controlled, pressurised part of the hold that's separate from luggage and built specifically for live animals. We book a crate sized correctly for your pet, a trained handler stays with them through check-in, and a trusted partner receives them on arrival. The carriers we use have dedicated live-animal handling.

Does my pet need a rabies titer test?

For most destinations, yes. Because India is treated as a high-rabies-risk origin, countries like the EU, UK, Australia, UAE and Japan require a rabies antibody (titer) blood test. A few routes don't — we confirm exactly what your destination needs before anything is booked.

How far in advance should I start?

It depends on the destination. Roughly: ~6 months or more for Australia, New Zealand and Japan; ~4–6 months for the UK and EU; ~2 months for routes like the UAE with no post-titer waiting period. The titer test and any arrival quarantine drive the timeline, so earlier is always safer. Tell us your route and we'll give you a firm start date.

Can my pet travel in the cabin instead of cargo?

On a few routes, small pets can. Most international pet travel from India is as manifest cargo — the safe, dedicated live-animal service — but some carriers, such as Etihad to Abu Dhabi, allow small dogs and cats in the cabin on certain routes. Whether it's possible depends on the airline, the route and your pet's size; we'll talk you through your options.

What is the AQCS export NOC?

It's the export No-Objection Certificate issued by the Animal Quarantine and Certification Service (AQCS) officer at your departure airport, confirming your pet meets the requirements to leave India. We arrange it as part of the service, close to your travel date.

Can snub-nosed (flat-faced) breeds fly?

Often yes, but with extra care. Breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, Boxers and Persian cats are more sensitive to heat and breathing stress, and some airlines restrict them or have seasonal embargoes. We choose a carrier and route that will accept your breed and travel in cooler conditions — and we'll be honest with you about what's safe for your pet.

How much does pet relocation abroad cost?

It varies with the destination, your pet's size and crate, the airline, and the paperwork your route needs — so we don't publish a flat price. Tell us your route and pet and we'll give you a clear, itemised quote with no surprises.

Does someone travel with my pet on the plane?

A trained handler stays with your pet right up to check-in and hands them to the airline's live-animal team; a trusted partner receives them on landing. The handler doesn't fly in the cabin alongside the pet — but you get WhatsApp updates throughout, often with a photo from the airport.

Do I need an import permit for the destination country?

Many countries require an import permit approved before your pet travels, and some have other steps such as advance notice to their quarantine authority. We check your destination's exact requirements and apply for and track whatever's needed.

Which Indian cities do you operate from?

We relocate pets from across India — including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and more — working with vets and the right departure airport for your route. Wherever you are, tell us and we'll plan it.

Still have a question? Ask us about your route — over WhatsApp or a quick call.
