Coming home is the easier direction. There’s no rabies titre to enter India and no long kennel quarantine for returning residents — your pet is inspected on arrival and, since February 2025, the final clearance is issued round the clock right at the airport. Land at BOM in the morning, and you’re usually both home the same day.
The rabies antibody test is an export requirement for some countries — not for coming in.
Returning residents’ pets are inspected on arrival, then cleared to go home.
Mumbai is a full AQCS port, with the final NOC issued round the clock since Feb 2025.
