Takes ~60 seconds · no obligation · we reply fastKochi is where Kerala’s pets fly from — and now where they clear
Generations of families from Kochi, Ernakulam and across Kerala move to the Gulf, the UK, Australia and North America — and increasingly bring their pets along. Cochin International is the heart of that journey, with direct long-haul links to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and beyond.
The big change: since October 2024, Cochin is an AQCS port — the seventh in India. Pets now clear customs and quarantine inspection in and out right here in Kochi, with no more routing through Chennai or Bengaluru.

Moving across India, from Kochi
Three ways to travel — chosen for your pet, your distance and your timeline. Road and rail are both first-class options here, not afterthoughts.
By road
A dedicated AC vehicle with a handler aboard, planned rest and feeding stops. For long-distance and interstate moves.
By train
One of three proper Indian Railways arrangements — booked correctly at the parcel office, not the app. A settled way to travel.

The quickest option for long distances, on pet-friendly domestic carriers — fit-to-fly checks and an IATA crate, handled.
Across Kerala too. Pets from Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Thrissur and Kottayam clear through Kochi’s AQCS facility — we collect from across the state and bring them to Cochin for their flight.
Bringing your pet back to Kochi
Returning from the Gulf or anywhere else? Coming into India is the easier direction — and now you can do it without leaving Kerala.
- No rabies titre to enter India — the blood test is an export requirement, not an import one.
- No long kennel quarantine for a returning resident’s pet — inspected on arrival, usually cleared home the same day.
- Cleared at Cochin, round-the-clock — the final AQCS NOC is issued at the airport, day or night.

Real stories from Kochi-area families who moved with FidoJet — abroad, across India, and home to Kerala.
What touched me was that when the handler came to collect Leo in Kochi, he didn't treat him like a parcel to be shifted — he sat down with him, spoke to him, and let him settle before even bringing out the crate. You could tell he genuinely likes dogs; that one thing put me completely at ease. Leo reached Dubai calm and happy, not shaken at all — thank you Sahil and the whole team.
Bruno is a big, anxious boy who had a genuinely bad time being flown once before, so I asked if there was any way to avoid putting him through an airport again. Instead of just saying flying was the only option, FidoJet suggested driving him by road and booked a 7-seater so he had the whole back to stretch out. The handler drove the full eleven hours, stopped every couple of hours to walk and water him, and messaged me from the halts — Bruno stepped out relaxed and was his normal self within the hour.
The single biggest relief was that FidoJet managed to get Coco in-cabin — I'd been dreading the thought of her alone in cargo on an international flight, since she's so attached to me. Instead she was right under my seat the whole way, calm, and I could reach down and talk to her. They also sorted every bit of the India import paperwork so she cleared with no hold-up; moving back to Kerala with my girl beside me instead of stressing about a cargo hold meant everything.
